Bio:



Yinuo Li (b.2000) was born in Jinan, Shandong Province, China. The city was famous for its springs and poetry. So The Taoist culture with its water civilization and the subtle poetry of Chinese painting has influenced her subconsciously.

From 2015 to 2019, Yinuo chose to go away from her hometown and enrolled in the best of china art high school( The high school affiliated to CAFA)in Beijing, to study painting techniques such as life drawing, oil painting, sketch. During school time, she had several works in the school's collection and She won the first prize in the school's creative drawing competition and was awarded a prize. And because of her interest in the subject of Human Anatomy, She tried to research the atlas of human anatomy. This laid the foundation for her later constructing her visual language to paint the fragmented body.
After learning the basic drawing techniques, Yinuo feels like a bird in a cage. Needs to embrace more new perspectives on herself and on art. She decided to apply to universities in the UK and finally won three school offers, she decided to study at Slade which has a strong academic atmosphere.

During her studies at Slade, the variety of workshops stimulated yinuo's sensitivity to materials and she began to experiment with new materials and tools to combine with oil painting. Examples include porcelain, wool, and textile. Moreover, As a feminist, she began to gradually focus on her own psychology, autobiography, and sensibility

In 2022, Yinuo exhibited her works at 9 club room and safe house 01 in London and volunteered at the Jinan Art Biennale to help curate and learn about gallery operations, Also she had group exhibitions at two gallery spaces in London in mid-January this year.
